About Lympne Castle:
Lympne Castle is enchanting - the historic architecture weaves its magic and you can believe that you are part of a fairy tale. You approach the castle via the huge stone North Gate and alight in the courtyard within the main castle. The wedding party passes through into the West Drawing Room, which, with its oak panelling and open fire, is the perfect setting for the solemnity of the wedding service.
Personal Service and attention to detail are all hallmarks of Lympne Castle's excellent reputation.

A. The Reception Hall:
A warm welcome awaits you as you enter the castle into the Reception Hall. A lovely log fire burns in cooler weather
1. The Great Hall in the East Wing (12m x 7m):
An impressive room suitable for civil ceremonies, dining, board meetings, presentations or exhibitions. The exposed timber framed roof and half height wood panelled walls and stain glass windows provide a wonderful backdrop for any event. The huge open fireplace provides character as well as warmth.
2. The Old Kitchen (10m x 5.5m):
With its Ingle-nook fireplace can accommodate meetings and dining as well as providing an area for the main Bar and relaxing
3. The Parlour (7m x 5.5m):
Adjoining the Great Hall and Snug this is a suitable as a small meeting area and can be used for dining and we also serve evening Buffet in this room.
4. The Snug (3m square):
A cosy quiet seating area, a place to chat or relax.
5. The West Drawing Room (11m x 6m):
Has an enviable view over looking the Romney Marsh. This oak panelled room provides an ideal space for a civil ceremony, dining, board meetings, presentations or exhibitions.
6. Ante Room (4.5m x 4m):
Leads directly from the West Drawing Room and provides an ideal syndicate room or private meeting area with direct access onto the terrace.
7. The Dining Room (9.5m x 5.5m):
A fully oak panelled room with low ornate ceiling, ideal for dining or board meetings.
8. The Sitting Room or Harrys Room (8m x 6.5m):
Again a fully wood panelled room which offers a comfortable seating area and an screened off area for the Bride to sit add the finishing touches to her ensemble.
The Long Gallery gives access to all the rooms in the West Wing and connects to the East Wing.
N.B. There is polished oak flooring throughout the castle.
The West Drawing Room, whilst echoing the majesty of the mediaeval castle, belongs to a different era. It was added in Edwardian times when the famous architect Sir Robert Lorimer was commissioned to restore the castle, which was then near to ruin. As you enter the room your attention is immediately drawn to the view from the huge bow window overlooking the south east coast. Wood panelling and a stone fireplace lend the room an imposing yet welcoming atmosphere.

This room can sit approximately 80 guests. Reception drinks follow the ceremony where our dedicated staff will serve drinks and attend to your guests.
The wedding Breakfast will take place in the glorious Great Hall or for the smaller more intimate wedding the West Wing Drawing Room.
In the Great Hall with its part panelled walls, wooden roof beams and gothic arched windows you can imagine hearing the lively talk, clank of goblets and music of bygone feasts. This room is ideal for a larger civil wedding party, seating up to 120 guests.
